Puteri Sarah enjoyed playing the character of a husband snatcher in the Hijrah Jannah drama

ACTRESS Puteri Sarah didn’t think twice when the production team offered her to play the role of a husband kidnapper in the latest series Hijrah Jannah.

According to Sarah, the character named Munirah that she succeeded in is an antagonistic character and she thinks that the variety of character selection is very suitable for the development of her career as an actress.

“When I was offered the role of Munirah, I didn’t think twice. I immediately agreed to do this role because it could challenge my credibility as an actor.

“Alhamdulillah, when I played the role of Umairah in If It Was Destiny I received positive feedback, so this time I want to try a different role,” she said.

Puteri Sarah said this when met at a press conference for the Hijrah Jannah drama series at Dadi Cinema, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur yesterday.

Asked how she succeeds in a character closely related to herself, Sarah said that when she is in front of the camera, all personal problems are pushed aside.

“As an actor, I will put all personal problems aside when I enter the filming set. During the filming of If It Was Destiny, I was going through problems but I still gave my commitment by forgetting my personal problems for a while.

“I understand people will question why I play the character of a usurper. But I think this character is interesting. I don’t know why I enjoy playing the hijacker character. So, why not?” she said again.

The cast was present at the Hijrah Jannah drama series press conference at Dadi Cinema, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur yesterday.

In addition to Puteri Sarah, Hijrah Jannah also stars the main leads, Remy Ishak and Daniella Sya. In addition, this series directed by Feroz Kader was also succeeded by Ezaidi Aziz, Khalidah Atlibah, Daniel Fong, Angeline Tan and Kenji Sawahi.

Hijrah Jannah will be shown every Monday to Friday from 5 June 2023, at 6.00 pm exclusively through Astro Ria channel (104) and can also be streamed through On Demand on Astro Box and the Astro GO application for flexible options.
