Neelofa donated two big cows to the Kelantan fire brigade
KOTA BHARU: Two ‘sado’ cows of the ‘Chevrolet’ breed are among the seven cows donated by Pertubuhan Kasih Neelofa to the Kelantan Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) in conjunction with the Aidiladha celebration this year.
More than 20 firefighters had to ‘work hard’ before successfully knocking down the cows, which were estimated to weigh 700 kilograms (kg) to one tonne each.
Its chairman, Noor Neelofa Mohd Noor said, a total of 15 cows have been donated to the needy, including in Perak, Kedah, Selangor and Kelantan this year.
“For each cow, we estimate that it can be divided into 100 recipients. For large cows such as the ‘Chevrolet’ breed, it is estimated that it can be distributed to 500 recipients,” he told reporters after the First Sacrifice Ceremony at the JBPM Kelantan Headquarters in Tunjong, here today.
Also present was the Director of JBPM Kelantan, Zainal Madasin.
Meanwhile, Zainal said, all the sacrificial meat will be distributed to the asnaf group, including 150 families of firefighters in need as well as family members of members who died.
