BTS member, V is also positive for COVID-19

V or his original name Kim Taehyung is the latest member of BTS to be confirmed positive for COVID-19.

The news was confirmed by Big Hit Music label, which revealed that V sought treatment at the hospital on Tuesday morning (Feb 15) after suffering from a sore throat, and PCR tests confirmed he was positive for COVID-19.

“V was completely vaccinated and did not show any unusual symptoms other than mild fever and sore throat. He is currently undergoing treatment at home while awaiting further guidelines from health authorities.

“The other BTS members are also close contacts of V because they met last Saturday, but all are fully wearing face masks. They did not show any symptoms, and the self -test also showed them negative, “said a statement posted to Weverse.

The development came after three BTS members, RM, Jin and Suga tested positive for COVID and recovered in December.

Another member, Jimin, was allowed to leave the hospital on Feb. 5 after being admitted to the hospital on Jan. 30 for a mild stomach ache and sore throat.
He underwent surgery for acute appendicitis on January 31 and during the same time tested positive for COVID-19.

“The company places the health of the artist as a priority and we will do everything we can to help V to recover quickly. We will also cooperate and follow the guidelines set by the authorities,” the statement added.
