
MCU 5 movie actor William Hurt passed away
The actor who is also an Oscar winner, William Hurt died at the age of 71 years.
The sad news was announced by the actor’s son, Will in a statement on Sunday.
“With great grief, the Hurt family mourns the passing of William Hurt, the beloved father and Oscar-winning actor, on March 13, 2022, a week before his 72nd birthday.
“The deceased died of natural causes in a calm state, with his family.
“The family begs not to be disturbed at this time,” the statement read.
Hurt in 2018 once revealed that he was diagnosed with prostate cancer since 2012 which had already spread to the bone.
Hurt emerged as one of the leading film actors of the 1980s era. The late became famous through the films “Broadcast News”, “Body Heat” and “The Big Chill”.
Hurt was nominated for an Academy Award three times in a row and won for her role in the 1985 film “Kiss of the Spider Woman.”
The late also received a nomination for Best Actor category for the 1987 news industry satire “Broadcast News”, and a year earlier for “Children of a Lesser God”, a school -set romantic drama for the deaf.
The late Hurt is also known for his participation in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) as Thaddeus Ross for over a decade in five Marvel films.
The news of his departure was also mourned by fans and celebrity friends. Expressions of sadness fill the space on social media.
