To enliven the celebration of the 65th National Day and Malaysia Day this year, the interesting icons, especially the buildings and bridges in the administrative center of the Federal government, Putrajaya will be illuminated by an abundance of lights with the four-color Jalan Gemilang themed until next September 16.

Putrajaya Corporate Communications Director (PPj) Norzita Abdul Razak in fact said the PPj Night Lighting program which started on August 1, explained the spirit of celebration in conjunction with the celebration of National Day and Malaysia Day.

He said lighting in the royal and commercial buildings will last from 7pm to 12 midnight daily, including weekends and public holidays.

“The lighting of the facade of the building in Putrajaya involves three categories, namely LED lights, warm white lighting (yellow lights) and interior lighting,” he said.

According to Norzita, LED lights with the Jalan Gemilang concept were lit at the Prime Minister’s Office, Ministry of Communication and Multimedia (K-KOMM), Zenith Hotel, Seri Wawasan Bridge, Seri Saujana Bridge, and water showers at Presint 1.

Yellow lighting on the building’s facade also involved all royal, commercial and structural buildings in Putrajaya, he said.

He said that the internal lighting with a ‘lantern’ concept involved the Putrajaya International Convention Center, Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin Mosque and the building for the Legal Affairs Section (BHEUU).

Regarding the installation of the Gemilang Line, Norzita said PPj had started installing as many as 4,400 Gemilang Lines on lamp posts, public parks and PPj’s premises such as the neighboring complex, Medan Taste, council and library since July 15.

According to Norzita, 11,200 Gemilang Lines had been handed over to the six sub-zones of the Putrajaya Fellowship Representative Council (MPPWP Putrajaya), 70 population associations and 27 schools in Putrajaya, last month.

On 30 July, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob launched the 2022 National Month and Kibar Lane Gemilang by joining 15,000 Malaysian Families in the 2.7 kilometer “Walking Teguh Together” program in Putrajaya.
