Journalist shot dead in Mexico
CIUDAD VICTORIA: Mexican authorities are investigating the death of a 47 -year -old journalist who was shot dead in the northeast of the country.
Antonio de la Cruz was shot at his residence, in Ciudad Victoria.
According to the State Public Prosecutor, in the incident as well, the victim’s 23 -year -old daughter was also seriously injured in the attack.
De la Cruz was a veteran journalist for the local newspaper Expreso for nearly three decades.
His death brings the number of journalists killed in Mexico this year to 12 people.
