‘It’s been a long day’ – Trump spends time with family, supporters
NEW YORK: Former President of the United States (US) Donald Trump is reported to be ‘distressed’ and trying to calm down, after going through an emotional day following his indictment in court.
Citing CNN, a source close to Trump said he spends time with people close to him.
“Who doesn’t want to be with people who support you a lot after going through a tough day?,” the source said.
According to other sources, Trump ended the day by enjoying dinner at his Mar-a-Lago club in the company of club members, family and some of his loyal supporters, including Matt Gaetz and Marjorie Taylor Greene.
Trump was also seen enjoying music from a laptop amid the presence of his loyal supporters at the club, and at one point had a conversation with his former adviser, Roger Stone.
“It was a long day,” said a third source.
Earlier, the 76-year-old former US President was charged in connection with a bribe paid to a pornographic film actor.
Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, claims she was paid to keep quiet about her sexual relationship with Trump in 2006 but Trump denies the relationship.
