Cianjur earthquake: Hetty Koes Endang shares her grief and prays for the victims
KUALA LUMPUR: Indonesia’s famous artist, Hetty Koes Endang, expressed her sympathy and grief over the earthquake tragedy in Cianjur, West Java, on Monday.
As she is now in Kuala Lumpur due to work, Hetty, fondly called Mother, said her prayers accompany all the victims of the natural disaster.
The permanent jury of the popular entertainment program, Gegar Vaganza produced by Astro, prays that all the victims of the tragedy in the country of their birth will be given perseverance and strength to face the calamity.
“Mother, my deepest condolences for the residents of Cianjur and its surroundings for the earthquake that hit.
“May Allah SWT always give you perseverance, strength and protection,” said Hetty through a video uploaded on her personal Instagram account, today.
An earthquake measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale was detected in Cianjur, West Java on Monday and killed 268 people.
More than 56,362 people were placed in evacuation centers after 21,282 houses were damaged including about 6,570 that collapsed.
