adminKUALA LUMPUR: Animation has the potential to be a fresh and relevant medium of dakwah to convey positive values to society, said Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) Dr Zulkifli Hasan.
He said animation has great influence and is capable of shaping the way people think and leading society towards better values and directions.
While praising the animated film “Papa Pipi” produced by Animonsta Studios Sdn Bhd (Monsta), Zulkifli said the work not only received a warm reception, but was also full of positive messages and role models.
“Interestingly, (Monsta) has also now penetrated international markets such as Indonesia and West Asia. This is proof that local works have their own class and can go far,” he said in a post on Facebook.
Earlier, he had a meeting with co-founder and Managing Director of Monsta Mohd Nizam Abdul Razak, who is known for producing popular animations such as BoBoiBoy, Papa Pipi (Papazola) and Mechamato.
Also present were Federal Territories Mufti Ahmad Fauwaz Fadzil and AlHijrah TV Chief Executive Officer Namanzee Harris.
Commenting on the discussion, Zulkifli said it focused on an important mission, namely exploring collaboration spaces to strengthen da’wah and reform efforts in Malaysia through the medium of animation.
