adminKUALA LUMPUR: The Negeri Sembilan government administration will continue to operate as usual despite the vacancy of the State Executive Council (Exco) member position, with priority given to the interests and welfare of the people.
The chairman of the Negeri Sembilan UMNO Liaison Body, Datuk Seri Jalaluddin Alias, said various methods can be used to ensure that the delivery of government services and the implementation of policies to the people are not affected.
He explained that the results of the discussions held previously are expected to produce the best approach to enable the state administration to continue to function smoothly.
“From the lengthy discussion, God willing, there will be an approach so that the state government can run as usual. That is what is more important,” he said.
Commenting on the question of the absence of Exco in the state administration, Jalaluddin said the Menteri Besar of Negeri Sembilan, Datuk Ismail Lasim, has his own formula to ensure that the government machinery continues to move.
“All agendas and programs related to the people will continue to be implemented without interruption.
“Various methods can be used. The Menteri Besar has a certain formula to mobilize the government machinery so that the agenda to continue programs related to the people can be implemented,” he said.
He stressed that the main focus at the moment is to ensure that the state administration remains stable and that all matters involving the people can be carried out effectively.
Barisan Nasional (BN) on Sunday night held a meeting with 25 BN State Assemblymen (ADUNs) at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTCKL) to discuss current developments and solutions regarding the political situation in Negeri Sembilan.
This development follows the cancellation of the appointments of 10 Negeri Sembilan Exco members, which saw efforts being made to ensure that the state government administration continues to operate without affecting the interests of the people.
