Melaka PRN: Ab Rauf asks Adly Zahari to reflect before questioning BN’s record

TELOK MAS: Melaka Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh has urged Melaka Pakatan Harapan (PH) Election Director, Adly Zahari, to reflect on his own administration’s record before questioning the performance of the Barisan Nasional (BN)-led state government.

He said this in response to Adly’s statement questioning the BN administration’s record, particularly regarding the issues of cost of living, water bills, affordable housing and job opportunities that the people continued to raise during the Melaka State Election (PRN).

“I don’t know from where he got those findings, but I don’t want to comment because he was also Chief Minister and I don’t want to comment on what he did when he was Chief Minister.”

“So, it’s better for us to reflect on ourselves so that we know what we are doing for the people. I think the people of Melaka know what we are doing, the only ones who don’t know are him,” he said when met here today.

In a similar development, Ab Rauf, who is also the Barisan Nasional (BN) Melaka chairman, also criticised the analysis of several political analysts who predicted the possibility of several state assembly seats changing hands in this election.

According to him, any assessment of a party’s strength should be made based on a professional perspective and not influenced by certain political leanings.

“The interpretation made by any analyst, we look at it from their point of view and if they are not from a group that supports our party, of course they will distort the view.”

“Except for a view taken from a professional perspective, it can be measured but cannot be measured from their papers or findings (solely),” he said.

He said that the state government would instead continue to focus on its service record and efforts to reach out to the people to convince voters ahead of polling day on November 14.
