Azar Azmi cries after receiving RM40,000 from Aliff Syukri

PETALING JAYA: “I accept whatever job offer Datuk gives me. The amount of money today is very big for me.” This was the expression of actor Azar Azmi, who admitted to being moved after receiving RM40,000 in cash assistance from sensational entrepreneur Datuk Aliff Syukri in a live broadcast.

“To be honest, I am indebted and what Datuk did exceeded my expectations,” he said, breaking down in tears. Azar, or her full name is Siti Azar Ameerah Azmi, 35, said the money will be used to buy the children’s necessities as well as help ease her life’s burden.

Meanwhile, Aliff informed that the assistance was given based on empathy for Azar’s situation, which is currently facing hardship.

“I helped a woman who was having a hard time in life today.

“He came to me to apply for a job as a packer with a salary of RM1,700.

“But today I am helping him. Malaysians also love him. This is not just my money, but the result of the support of Malaysians,” he said.

Aliff also expressed his willingness to offer Azar a job at his company.

“Today I invited a woman who was once well-known to meet me. She never asked me for money.”

“Maybe after this I will hire him to work as a clerk or packer in my company with a salary of RM2,000,” he added.

Meanwhile, he also expressed his appreciation to the public who purchased his products, enabling the aid to be channeled.

“Thank you to the caring Malaysians. This time you all bought while doing charity.”

“After this, God willing, I will also help actor Norish Karman who is said to be ill,” he said.

Azar also stated that he does not have a bank account or social media account following a previous alleged fraud case. Previously, the Nur 2 drama actress came to attention when she and her husband, Mohd Apri Hazreen Mohd Sapri, 41, were remanded and charged in court for a related case.

However, Azar was acquitted and made a prosecution witness in the case.

In proceedings last March, her husband pleaded not guilty to both charges which were read out before Judge Mohamad Kamil Nizam and Magistrate Nurul Saqinah Rosli.

In the Sessions Court, the accused was charged with deceiving a 56-year-old man into making an online payment of RM270,811 to a bank account belonging to a 35-year-old woman.
