Aminuddin met with Tuanku Muhriz for almost two hours

SEREMBAN: “An ordinary Wednesday.”

This was the brief reaction of the Menteri Besar of Negeri Sembilan, Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun, when asked by reporters about his presence at Istana Hinggap today.

He was previously seen entering the palace grounds at approximately 9.05 am before leaving at 10.47 am.

Also accompanying the Negeri Sembilan Pakatan Harapan (PH) Chairman was Negeri Sembilan Police Chief, Datuk Alzafny Ahmad.

It is indeed a routine for Aminuddin to meet with the Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan, Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir every Wednesday before chairing the Government Council Meeting at Wisma Negeri.

However, this routine has attracted the attention of media practitioners following allegations that the State Legislative Assembly (DUN) may be dissolved in the near future.

It is expected that Aminuddin will hold a press conference at 1.30pm today after the Exco meeting.

The media today reported that Pakatan Harapan (PH) State Assemblymen (ADUNs) along with several party leaders began arriving at the Menteri Besar’s Official Residence as early as 9.30 am yesterday.

Their presence is believed to be to attend a special meeting related to the dissolution of the State Assembly.

However, Negeri Sembilan DAP secretary Cha Kee Chin said that the meeting chaired by Aminuddin was not a special meeting as claimed.

“The meeting took place in a harmonious atmosphere with the spirit of the Negeri Sembilan PH family. We discussed the preparedness of the PH election machinery for the upcoming PRN,” said the Rasah MP via his Facebook account.
