Thousands of Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp users in the US are experiencing disruptions
LOS ANGELES: Thousands of Meta Platforms social media users in the United States (US) experienced an outage on Wednesday, according to media reports.
More than 18,000 Instagram users reported problems accessing the application and about 13,000 problems were reported for the Facebook application, Xinhua reported .
Many users took to Twitter to express their grievances and anger over the disruption.
The cause of the disturbance has not yet been ascertained.
Earlier on Wednesday, Meta announced it would allow former President Donald Trump back to use his Facebook and Instagram accounts in a few weeks, ending a two-year ban dating back to the 2021 Capitol riots.
