Shah Alam Stadium: Exhibitions and engagement sessions on public affairs start today

SHAH ALAM: An exhibition and public affairs session related to the development of the Shah Alam Sports Complex (KSSA), at the SACC Mall here, starts today until Feb 10 from 10am to 10pm.

The Selangor Menteri Besar Incorporation (MBI) in a statement today announced the 16-day session, aimed at sharing information regarding the proposed new KSSA development project and to get the public’s feedback on the proposed plan submitted.

“Throughout this session, the public had the opportunity to see and get a more detailed view of the development project through a 3D flythrough video display, an information board and a concept model of the development project.

“Visitors can evaluate and have the opportunity to provide feedback and suggestions through a QR scan code provided by MBI Selangor,” according to the statement.

The statement informed that the proposed plan of the KSSA Development Project which covers an area of 188 acres will later have a world-class stadium, which covers 60 percent of the entire development project area.

“The remaining 40 percent of the entire development project area is a recreational park and commercial space, which aspires to encourage interaction in the community and provide various entrepreneurial opportunities to the youth in Selangor.
“This public affairs engagement session is an initiative of the Selangor Government which aims to ensure transparency in every matter and reflects the state government’s ongoing commitment towards efficient administration, as well as focusing on the interests of the general public,” according to the statement.

The statement informed that the session was an additional voluntary initiative by the Selangor government and MBI Selangor, in an effort to provide the latest information on the KSSA planning plan.

Commenting further, relevant public feedback and suggestions will be included in the KSSA development plan, in line with the aspirations of the government and MBI Selangor which is sensitive to the needs of the public.

Last July 15, the Selangor government appointed Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad (MRCB), to carry out the new development of the Shah Alam Stadium and surrounding sports facilities, with a cost set at around RM787 million.
