The disgusted restaurant was ordered to close, the kitchen was dirty with mouse excrement
KUALA LUMPUR: Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) ordered an eatery to be closed due to the unsatisfactory level of cleanliness in Operation Sepadu Bersih around the capital.
DBKL in a statement informed that 60 compound notices were issued in accordance with the Food Establishment Licensing Bylaw (WPKL), the Food Operator Bylaw (4), while the Roads, Drains and Buildings Act 1974, and the Local Government Act 1976, each one compound.
“With the strength of 32 health personnel, a total of 64 premises were visited and 48 premises were inspected while a total of 16 premises were closed during the visit.
“The result of an inspection of a premises has been ordered to be closed due to an unsatisfactory level of cleanliness,” said the statement on DBKL’s Facebook page.
The inspection of all the premises was carried out last Wednesday.
DBKL said the offenses committed by the food premises included placing tables and chairs on the sidewalk, the kitchen walls being unclean, signs of rat and cockroach droppings in the kitchen area, washing dishes at the back of the premises and failing to display a valid business license.
All the food premises are located in Jalan Sri Bintang, Taman Salak Selatan, Jalan Leboh Ampang, Jalan Kancil, Jalan Waras 1, Jalan Sarjana and Bangsar Village.
