KUALA LUMPUR: Parti Wawasan Negara officially became a member party of Perikatan Nasional (PN) after the Registration of Societies Department (RoS) approved the name change from Parti Cinta Malaysia (PCM) to Parti Wawasan Negara on July 6.
In a statement today, Perikatan Nasional (PN) Secretary-General Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan said the party had legally become a member party of the coalition from the same date based on the provisions of Clause 6.5 of the PN Constitution.
“PN has received notification that the RoS has approved the application to change the name of PCM to Parti Wawasan Negara (Wawasan Negara) on July 6, 2026.
“In this regard, Parti Wawasan Negara (Wawasan Negara) is legally a PN member party in its name from that date based on the provisions of Clause 6.5, PN Constitution,” he said.
Previously, the media reported that former Deputy President of the United Indigenous Party of Malaysia (Bersatu) Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin announced the establishment of the National Vision Party.
