Ivana Trump was buried in New York City on Wednesday
WASHINGTON: Ivana Trump, Donald Trump’s ex-wife, was laid to rest in New York City on Wednesday.
The funeral was held at the Roman Catholic Church of St. Vincent Ferrer in Manhattan’s upscale Upper East Side neighborhood, Anadolu Agency reported.
The former president of the United States (US) along with his three children Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump and Eric Trump – were also present, according to several reports.
Ivana Trump, 73, was found dead in her Manhattan apartment last week.
Authorities have ruled his death had nothing to do with treason and many reports say he died after falling from a ladder in his apartment.
Ivana and Trump married in 1977 and then divorced in 1992.
The Czech-American businesswoman played a key role in building Trump’s empire, according to the New York Times.
She held several key positions in the Trump organization and wrote several books including “Raising Trump,” a biography of her marriage to the president’s ex-wife that was published in 2017.
