Tun Musa Expresses Condolences To Family Of Former Bongawan Adun Karim Bujang

KOTA KINABALU, Sept 20 (Bernama) — The Yang Dipertua Negeri of Sabah Tun Musa Aman has expressed condolences to the family of former Bongawan State Assemblyman (ADUN) the late Datuk Karim Bujang, who passed away today.

Tun Musa also prayed that the departed soul of Karim Bujang be showered with blessings by Allah SWT and placed among His faithful and righteous servants.

“During his lifetime, the deceased had served as an Assistant Minister in the Government Administration that I led,” he said in a statement today.

He described the deceased as a committed leader who was diligent in carrying out his trusts and always provided his best service in fulfilling the responsibilities entrusted to him.

The late Karim, 73, who was also a former Sabah Assistant Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Environment, passed away at his residence in Kampung Sipanggil, Putatan, at noon today.

His remains were safely buried at the Kampung Brunei Islamic Cemetery in Kimanis at around 5:30 pm after funeral prayers were held at the Kampung Sipanggil Surau and the Imam Abdullah Mosque in his hometown.

The deceased, who served as the Bongawan ADUN for five terms from 1990 to 2013, is survived by his widow Datin Maimun Pg Bagul, two sons, and three grandchildren.
