are factors that make UNACO the customer’s choice.
KUCHING: Reasonable prices, cleanliness, easy accessibility and close location are the main reasons why customers continue to choose UNACO as their place to shop for their daily needs.
That was among the shares of two of the three main prize winners who each took home a RM16,000 cash voucher at the Lucky Draw Contest Prize Presentation Ceremony in conjunction with the 24th anniversary of the UNACO Group of Companies held at UNACO Stutong Branch, today.
One of the grand prize recipients, Erika Peter, 26, said she did not expect to be chosen as the winner, especially since it was her first time participating in the contest.
“I am just a regular customer of UNACO and like to buy essential items here because it is cheap, complete and close to home. Every time I shop at UNACO, I will submit a participation form.”
“I didn’t expect fortune to be on my side, let alone this being my first time participating in this contest,” he told Utusan Borneo today, adding that the voucher prize would be used to buy household items.
Meanwhile, Faizal Sapawi, 40, another grand prize winner, also took home a RM16,000 cash voucher.
He, who runs catering and school canteen services, told Utusan Borneo that he has been a loyal customer of UNACO for the past five to six years.
“I did choose UNACO over other stores because it is close to my workplace and the prices of the goods are much more affordable.”
“Initially, when I participated in this contest, I only hoped to win RM1,000 or RM2,000, but I didn’t expect to win the grand prize. When UNACO called to inform me of the win, I thought it was a scammer,” he said, expressing his gratitude for the win, which he also said could increase his business capital.
Also receiving a consolation prize was Lee Siak Chin, who took home a RM500 cash voucher.
This is his third win after winning the grand prize of a Proton X70 SUV in 2019 and a RM500 voucher in 2023.
Lee said that UNACO supermarkets have been and will continue to be his choice because of their affordable prices, comfortable atmosphere and delivery services for large quantity purchases.
He, who is also the owner of a food premises, revealed that all of his shop’s stock is purchased at UNACO.
The grand prize of the contest, which offered a cash voucher of RM16,000, was won by three winners, namely Lo Soo Lee with an identity card (730517-13-XXXX); Erika Peter (990209-13-XXXX); and Faizal Sapawi (850723-13-XXXX).
The contest, which runs from 1 July to 30 September 2025, offers cash vouchers worth a total of RM201,000 to loyal UNACO customers across all branches.
