KUALA LUMPUR: Perikatan Nasional (PN) has decided to approve the applications for the entry of Parti Pejuang Tanah Air (Pejuang) and Parti Cinta Malaysia (PCM) as new members of the coalition.
PN chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar said the decision was reached at the PN Supreme Council meeting here tonight.
At the same time, Ahmad Samsuri said PN would finalise the seat distribution for the Johor State Election (PRN) in the near future.
“A meeting on the matter will be held tomorrow, which will be chaired by Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor as PN’s Election Director.”
“God willing, it will be finalized before nomination day,” he said at a press conference here tonight.
Previously, PAS President Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang announced that the party had officially decided to end political cooperation with Bersatu after taking into account reports, studies and current assessments of the relationship between the two parties.
The Election Commission (EC) has set June 27 as nomination day, while July 7 is early voting day and July 11 is polling day.
