OrphanCare’s Mission to Protect Children Gains New Boost with iOli Communications

Collaboration to strengthen awareness on child welfare and family-based care

PETALING JAYA, 03 October 2025 – OrphanCare, a non-profit organisation dedicated to giving children in institutions and unplanned newborn babies the chance to grow up in the care of a family, has welcomed iOli Communications as its official PR partner.

The award-winning PR agency has committed to supporting OrphanCare on a fully pro bono basis, marking the very first project under its newly launched initiative, PRoject Good — a platform designed to provide professional communications expertise to supporting social-impact organisations at no cost.

“At iOli, we believe in the power of stories to inspire change. Through PRoject Good, our goal is to amplify the voices of organisations that are making a difference so that their impact can be seen, heard and felt by wider communities,” said Yan Lim, Chief Executive Officer of iOli Communications.

For OrphanCare, the collaboration comes at a critical time. Since its establishment in 2008, the foundation has successfully facilitated the placement of over 600 babies through its baby hatch programme and supported more than 400 children in finding permanent homes as of 2024. With iOli’s support, OrphanCare will strengthen public awareness of family-based care and mobilise greater community involvement through strategic communications and media engagement.

“We are deeply grateful to iOli Communications for choosing us as one of the first projects under PRoject Good. Together, we can continue to champion the rights of children and create lasting impact,” said Riza Alwi, Advocacy, Communications and Fundraising Manager of OrphanCare.

For iOli Communications, PRoject Good reflects a long-term commitment to leveraging PR as a force for good.

“By launching PRoject Good, we want to give NGOs like OrphanCare the same strategic tools that corporations use, so their impact can be amplified. This is our way of giving back and ensuring that important stories don’t go unheard,” Yan added.
