Nile Rodgers has unintentionally revealed that he and Chic will be playing at Glastonbury in 2025.
So far, only one artist has been announced for next year’s festival: Rod Stewart. He was announced for next year’s Legend Slot earlier this week (November 26). This performance will happen after his last main show in 2002, where he performed with Coldplay and Stereophonics.
The first poster for the Glastonbury line-up usually comes out in early March, and no new artists are confirmed for about four months after that. Nile Rodgers has accidentally revealed that he will be part of the lineup for 2025.
Last night at the Rolling Stone Awards in London, the musician went on stage to accept the Music Icon award. He mentioned that he was getting ready to cause some fun trouble with Stewart at the Worthy Farm location.
“We’re going to have a great time because we listen to him closely,” he joked (according to Metro). “Rod and I have been friends for a really long time, so I know he’s going to play tricks on me. He’s probably going to pinch my butt, because he always does that. ” “I don’t understand why he does that. ”
He said, “We are going to have a lot of fun together. ” I don’t know who is in his band now, but we will probably be playing music together. No matter what others say, Rod Stewart and I truly care for each other. “We are very close. ”
Rodgers was soon told by someone that his appearance hadn’t been made public yet. He laughed and said, “Am I not supposed to mention that. I tend to say too much. ”
