NEW DELHI, Sept 12 (Bernama-Sputnik/RIA Novosti) — Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday proposed developing 10 initiatives to reform the international governance system, reported Sputnik/RIA Novosti.
“I propose that we jointly develop 10 proposals for reforming the international governance system,” Modi said at the BRICS Summit.
The Prime Minister proposed setting out the initiatives in a roadmap to be prepared by the next summit.
Reform of the UN Security Council can no longer be postponed, and a clear timeline must be set and concrete results achieved within the framework of negotiations on the issue, Modi added.
The 18th BRICS Summit is taking place on Sept 12-13 in New Delhi.
