adminKUALA LUMPUR: PKR Information Chief Datuk Fahmi Fadzil has stressed the importance of every party member being part of a responsive team and not neglecting their responsibilities to the community.
He said each member also needed to continue to polish their idealism and not allow the seeds of corruption to infiltrate and destroy the spirit of reform.
“Do not allow attitudes, especially the seeds of corruption, to damage the spirit of reform. This is a reminder for all of us, including myself, to always strive to ensure not only political stability, but that the efforts and efforts we give to the people continue,” he said.
He said this when officiating the 2026 PKR Gombak Branch Annual General Meeting, here, today.
Fahmi, who is also the Minister of Communications, stressed that the actions and behaviour of leaders are always observed and evaluated by the people at all times.
Apart from that, he also reminded PKR leaders and members at all levels not to be complacent or swayed by a comfortable position to the point of forgetting the grassroots and original goals of the party’s struggle.
“Although this party has led the Selangor administration since 2008, every leader, from the grassroots level to the highest leadership, is obliged to maintain stability and unity,” he said.
Meanwhile, Fahmi, who is also the Member of Parliament for Lembah Pantai, also described the Gombak Branch as a PKR stronghold and hoped that it would continue to be strong in developing Selangor, as well as strengthening the party from elements that try to undermine its integrity.
“I raise this matter as a reminder, even though Selangor has been governed since 2008 and Keadilan Gombak is strong, we cannot be complacent or comfortable as a government.
“We all represent leaders, not only (Selangor Chief Minister) Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari, but also Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim,” he said.
