Bank Islam Awards Nearly RM2.5 Mln In Prizes To Customers

KOTA BHARU, Sept 12 (Bernama) — Bank Islam Malaysia Bhd (Bank Islam) today presented prizes worth nearly RM2.5 million to eight winners through the iGAIN SME Fortune Drive 2025 programme and the Awfar 2026 campaign, in recognition of their financial discipline and entrepreneurial resilience.

Bank Islam group chief business officer (retail banking) Mizan Masram said the prize presentation was one of the highlights of the 2026 Bank Islam Carnival.

Three winners received prizes through the iGAIN SME Fortune Drive 2025 programme, which ran from Sept 2 to Dec 31, 2025, while the other five won through the Awfar 2026 campaign under the Monthly Grand Draws.

“Through products such as Awfar and iGAIN, Bank Islam not only rewards customers but also promotes responsible financial practices and sustainable economic growth.

“We believe that consistent financial discipline and prudent business management are important foundations for long-term financial well-being,” Mizan told reporters at the prize presentation ceremony for the iGAIN SME Fortune Drive 2025 programme and Awfar 2026 campaign, held in conjunction with the 2026 Bank Islam Carnival here today.

Under the iGAIN SME Fortune Drive 2025 programme, Nubex Sdn Bhd won a Toyota Hilux Double Cab 2.4E AT four-wheel drive, while Pantai Bharu Plantation Sdn Bhd received RM20,000 in cash and MFD Solution Sdn Bhd RM10,000 in cash.

The winners of the Awfar 2026 campaign’s Monthly Grand Draws were Muzakkir Aman, who received jewellery worth RM500,000 for the May draw, followed by Mohd Jusre Abdul Razak, who won RM1 million in cash for June.

For the July draw, Halim Salleh and Hakim Khan Mohd Khan each took home RM250,000 in cash, while Nurul Amirah Ali won a Mercedes-Benz GLA 250 4MATIC AMG Line FL (CKD) in the August draw.

Mizan said the iGAIN programme recognises customers and entrepreneurs who have successfully expanded their business potential through sustainable financial management, while Awfar promotes consistent saving culture.

He said opening an Awfar account is now more convenient, as customers can do so at any time and from anywhere via the BIMB Mobile application.

Car winner Nurul Amirah, 36, said she had been saving with Bank Islam since 2023 and never expected to win.

“When I opened the account, I was told that I could win prizes, but I never expected to receive a call saying that I had won a Mercedes-Benz.

“At first, I thought it was a scam call, but they managed to convince me and get me to attend today’s ceremony,” she said.
