KUALA LUMPUR, June 19 (Bernama) — Takaful Ikhlas Family Bhd and Takaful Ikhlas General Bhd (Takaful IKHLAS), subsidiaries of MNRB Holdings Bhd, recently implemented the Kasih Korban Programme to extend Aidiladha assistance to asnaf groups and local communities in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan.
In a statement today, Takaful IKHLAS said RM59,500 was channelled through contributions from MNRB employees and IKHLAS Barakah House to support the programme, which involved the sacrifice of 10 cattle.
“The Kasih Korban Programme is part of Takaful IKHLAS’ ongoing efforts to support community wellbeing through an approach that promotes togetherness and compassion in reaching out to those in need,” the statement said.
Takaful IKHLAS said the programme was also carried out in collaboration with Masjid Jamek Dato’ Kelana Petra Sendeng and the Negeri Sembilan Islamic Religious Council.
In the spirit of togetherness, the programme also brought together Takaful IKHLAS employees, mosque committee members, volunteers and congregants in preparing and distributing 700 packets of sacrificial meat to 106 asnaf recipients and members of the community in need.
To support mosque development efforts, Takaful IKHLAS also presented a RM5,000 zakat wakalah contribution to the mosque in support of the mosque’s role in ummah development and as a centre for community unity.
Takaful Ikhlas Family Bhd president and chief executive officer Wan Ahmad Najib Wan Ahmad Lotfi said the programme was not merely an effort to share blessings, but also served as a platform to strengthen ties between Takaful IKHLAS, religious institutions and the local community.
“Through the Kasih Korban Programme, we believe the true value of an initiative is measured not only by the contributions made, but also by the impact it creates through the collective commitment of an organisation and its workforce towards community wellbeing,” he said in the same statement.
He also expressed hope that such initiatives would continue to contribute to community wellbeing and strengthen the spirit of mutual assistance, while reflecting the values of compassion that are central to Takaful IKHLAS.
Also present were Masjid Jamek Dato’ Kelana Petra Sendeng chairman Rosli Che Man and MNRB Holdings Bhd interim president and group chief executive officer, who is also Takaful Ikhlas General Bhd president and chief executive officer, Datuk Rudy Rodzila Che Lamin.
