More people are urging Rafizi to step down, telling him not to deceive Pandan voters again

KUALA LUMPUR: More participants gathered in a demonstration to urge former Economy Minister Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli to step down from politics and stop making allegations that are described as slander and promises that are said to be misleading Pandan voters ahead of the 16th General Election (GE16).

Political activist, Faizan Mohd Nor, claimed that his party managed to gather more participants this time following increased support and calls from the public who wanted to voice their objections.

According to him, the demonstration participants were present to convey the message that Rafizi, allegedly failed after being given the trust of the people as a representative and minister.

“Those present want to convey the message that Rafizi (allegedly) failed after being given authority as an elected representative and minister. So, stop continuing to spread slander and make misleading promises, especially to Pandan voters.”

“They also want to emphasize that the country will be more stable without statements that are considered misleading, and it is not impossible that more people, especially Pandan voters, will come down to join the upcoming demonstrations,” he said in a statement today.

Previously, a group of about 10 individuals held a protest in front of the Invoke Solutions Sdn Bhd office and handed over a memorandum urging Rafizi to step down from politics.

Meanwhile, PKR founder Ng Lum Yong, who was also present to support the demonstration, said Rafizi’s recent statements were seen as increasingly aggressive and had the potential to confuse the people.

“His statement is more about personal interests, not about saving the country,” Lum Yong explained.
