Kuala Lumpur, 11 November 2025 — Malaysia’s ambitions to become a future-ready manufacturing hub took center stage at the Selangor Techsphere Summit 2025, an event powered by Hannover Messe, the world’s leading trade fair for industrial technology.
Held over two days in Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), the Summit brought together business leaders, policymakers, innovators, and academics to explore the theme “ASEAN Industrial Transformation – Driving Efficient and Sustainable Operations.”
Hannover Messe: Where Industry Meets the Future
For decades, Hannover Messe has been the global stage where the future of industry is defined. Each year, it draws more than 150,000 decision-makers and thought leaders to Hannover, Germany — creating a unique platform for dialogue between industry, politics, and society.
“Many of our distinguished guests have experienced Hannover Messe firsthand,” said Tim Bostridge, Managing Director of Hannover Fairs Asia Pacific, part of Deutsche Messe AG, during his opening remarks.
“For those who haven’t, I warmly invite you to join us in 2026. The same spirit of innovation and collaboration that defines Hannover Messe is what we’re creating here in Selangor.”
Selangor: Leading Malaysia’s Industrial Transformation
As Malaysia accelerates its move toward a digitally enabled, sustainable manufacturing ecosystem, Selangor stands at the forefront.
The state’s diversified industrial base, strategic location, and highly skilled workforce have positioned it as a leader in AI, semiconductors, renewable energy, and digital ecosystems.
“This Summit represents more than an event — it’s a platform for meaningful dialogue,” Bostridge added.
“It’s where Malaysia’s industrial innovation meets national policy and business outcomes, and where Selangor demonstrates what coordinated innovation truly looks like.”
Acknowledging Sponsors and Partners
Bostridge extended his gratitude to the Summit’s foundation sponsor, Siemens, along with Festo and KNX/Green Controls, for their vital support.
“We have an incredible display and activation area just next door,” he said.
“I encourage all participants to take time to explore, engage, and see firsthand how these companies are shaping the future of industry.”
He also acknowledged the Selangor State Government for its partnership and collaboration in delivering the event.
“It has been a true pleasure working alongside your team to bring this esteemed event to life,” he said. “To everyone behind the scenes — thank you for your hard work and dedication.”
Looking Ahead
As the Summit unfolded, delegates shared ideas, explored innovations, and built connections that will shape the region’s industrial future.
“To everyone joining us here today. Thank you for giving us your time and attention. I wish you two days full of great content, inspiring conversations, and connections that will drive the future of your business.” Bostridge concluded.
The Selangor Techsphere Summit 2025 marks a milestone in Malaysia’s journey toward industrial excellence, bridging global innovation and local ambition, and setting the stage for a new era of smart, sustainable manufacturing in ASEAN.
