Puteri Umno steadfast backbone of Umno’s struggle – Zahid

KUALA LUMPUR: Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has expressed his appreciation to all Puteri Umno members in conjunction with the 24th anniversary of the Umno wing.

The deputy prime minister said the wing has remained a steadfast backbone of the party’s struggle for more than two decades.

In a Facebook post, Ahmad Zahid said Puteri Umno is a dynamic wing representing the voice of young women that is bold in taking the lead, strategic in organising efforts and unwavering in defending Umno under any circumstances.

“From the realm of social media to the grassroots in villages and cities, Puteri is always present, contributing energy and igniting the spirit of the (party’s) struggle,” he said.

He said this anniversary comes at a very significant time, ahead of the Sabah State Election, which he described as both a testing ground and an opportunity to prove the maturity and capability of Puteri Umno as the voice of the future.

“I believe, with strong solidarity and unyielding spirit, Puteri Umno will continue to chart success, not only within the party, but also in nation-building and driving the country forward.
