Regent Bali Canggu: Bali’s Next Great Epicurean Escape

Regent Bali Canggu: Bali’s Next Great Epicurean Escape

As culinary tourism takes center stage, the recently launched Regent Bali Canggu is emerging as a destination in its own right, where five distinct dining concepts invite travellers to explore Bali through the lens of flavour.

From the soulful Indonesian dishes at Taru, to the bold Spanish energy of Sazón, and the soon-to-open Cure by Michelin-starred Chef Andrew Walsh, the resort captures the spirit of modern travel: rooted in place, elevated by palate.

Just steps away from the beach, Sazón is emerging as one of Canggu’s most exciting new dining spots. Helmed by Chef Andrew Walsh, the award-winning talent behind Singapore’s Michelin-starred Cure, Sazón brings the warmth and conviviality of a Barcelona-style neighborhood tapas bar to Bali. Expect bold plates such as arroz negro (a squid-ink paella), octopus with potato espuma, and a curated selection of Sherry and Cava wines; all served in an atmospheric setting with an open kitchen, garden seating, and a lively bar.
Later in 2025, Chef Walsh will introduce Cure to the Canggu shoreline – inspired by his modern European roots, refined through his journey across Asia, and crafted with the best of Indonesia’s seasonal produce.
“Sazón and Cure are very close to my heart and hospitality ambitions,” said Chef Andrew Walsh. “Our Spanish neighborhood tapas bar and grill, Sazón, draws inspiration from the lively streets of Barcelona, reimagined with the vibrant spirit and boundless energy of Canggu.”
Further elevating the F&B offering is Beach House, a chic oceanfront icon redefining the beachside experience with contemporary coastal cuisine. Here, Indonesia’s bounty – freshly caught seafood, native herbs, and island-grown ingredients – takes center stage, elevated into vibrant, modern dishes.
Paying homage to Indonesian heritage is Taru, the resort’s signature restaurant where time-honored recipes like rendang sapi and udang bakar woku are reinterpreted with finesse, showcasing the freshest local ingredients and regional flavours.
Completing the experience is The Lounge, a refined retreat for guests to indulge in everything from locally roasted coffee to fine wines and reimagined classics to be enjoyed with panoramic views of the Indian Ocean.
As tourists seek more than the typical “eat, pray, love” experience, properties like Regent Bali Canggu are tapping into the evolving tastes of modern travellers: authenticity, provenance, and the opportunity to connect with culture through cuisine.
With five distinctive dining venues and a focus on ingredient-led innovation, Regent Bali Canggu is emerging as a must-visit for culinary travellers – and a significant player in Southeast Asia’s evolving gastronomic map.
