Zhafran Umar’s background voice attracts attention

KUALA LUMPUR: The background voice of three-year-old Zhafran Umar Zulfikri Zaki in his healthy food video touched the hearts of social media users.

The sharing video of healthy food ideas for the little one shared by his mother, Nurul Azren A Razak, 30, on TikTok and Instagram, has already had hundreds of thousands of followers and has been watched by millions of visitors who want healthy meal tips for the little one.

Nurul Azren, said she had been sharing videos of healthy meals through the social media site since Zhafran Umar was six months old and in the early stages she did not use any background sound.

“After my son started being sent to daycare this year, I continued to share videos of healthy meals but more geared towards supplies for him to take to daycare or when he goes out for a walk. Every time I make a video, he is with me until one moment he wants to know what i do.

“I tried to record his voice and when it was ‘played’ again, he enjoyed hearing his own voice. I didn’t think since I used my own child’s background voice, it became an attraction and aroused the interest of many to watch the video I shared,” she said recently.

The child born in Mersing, Johor said that among the selection of healthy provisions that uses her own recipe are pumpkin pasta, potato tofu nuggets and egg wraps with each menu cut according to a certain decoration as well as colorful containers to attract her child’s appetite.

Nurul Azren, who is also a part-time graphic designer, said that usually she would first edit the video before sharing it with her son, who would then name the type of food in the healthy food.

“He already knows most of every type of menu in the supplies that I prepare, if anyone doesn’t know I help him say it and he follows. There are also words that he adds spontaneously like ‘nyum-nyum’ which becomes a ‘trademark’ in every video,” she said and added the voice recording process will be done in less than five minutes.

In addition to videos on healthy food, Nurul Azren said she also shared videos of activities that her son often does and that parents can imitate for other children of his age to help improve motor skills, focus and vocabulary.
