‘Wow strange, it hasn’t been banned for a long time’ – ‘Once’ commented on the ban on singing Dewa 19 songs
POLEMIC Ahmad Dhani forbidding one of the former vocalists of Dewa 19, Once to sing songs from the group is still hotly debated in the Indonesian entertainment world.
Ahmad Dhani forbade Once to sing Dewa 19’s songs since the group will hold several big concerts in the near future.
Responding to Dhani’s ban, Once admitted that he had not been banned by anyone for a long time not to do the things he wanted.
This includes the matter of being prohibited from singing Dewa 19 songs.
“Wow, I feel strange because it has not been banned for a long time. I think the last time it was banned was when I was still in high school.
“It feels like meeting an old man and then being forbidden to do something,” he said as reported by CNNIndonesia.
Once also admitted that it has been over a year since it was performed in any show.
“For the last one year, I have never performed the song Dewa 19 in a solo performance.
“If there is anything, the Jemburu song because I was also involved in creating the song for the Bintang Lima album.
“I like the tone. I made the chords in the Jealousy song,” said Once again.
Despite not agreeing and being hurt by the ban issued by Dhani, Once is still open to sit down and solve their problems.
“I am open to sit and discuss and bring this problem to where it really wants to go or how to solve it? Legally or what? I am open,” he said again.
It is known that Once is one of the former vocalists of Dewa 19 who has been with the group for a long time. Among the popular songs of Dewa 19 that were sung once with the group are Separuh Nafas, Larut, Selimut Hati and Laskar Cinta.
