Waving the 10 meters cloth on the seabed, CBP recorded the name in the MBOR
First CO-OPBANK (CBP) managed to create a name in the Malaysia Book of Records (MBOR) by waving a 10 meter long banner on the seabed.
According to CBP in a statement, the banner that was flown at the Perhentian Island Marine Park was in conjunction with the celebration of Teacher’s Day 2023, next May 16.
It is also one of the company’s efforts to show appreciation to educators across the country.
“The flag-waving mission was also accompanied by licensed divers from among teachers, students, invited divers and professionals including CBP’s Chief Retail Banking Officer, Rafis Mahtar,” said the statement.
Meanwhile, Chief Executive Officer of CBP, Khairil Anuar Mohammad Anuar said, the banner flying program is an initiative under CB-Proaktif.
“CB-Proaktif is an initiative that focuses on environmental care and also CB-Educator that focuses on activities related to education.
“This program is also an effort by CBP to raise awareness about the environment, oceans and healthy lifestyles.
“It can be done through the recreational activities of scuba diving and marine conservation as well as raising awareness of the preservation and conservation of marine nature,” he explained.
A total of six divers from CBP together with 27 divers from the Terengganu State Education Department and other agencies have successfully unfurled the giant banner.
The recognition has been confirmed by the MBOR representative, Lee Pooi Leng, who has already presented the confirmation certificate to the CBP representative, Rafis Makhtar.
