
Tom Holland’s latest film without a Spider-Man suit hits the box office
Tom Holland’s latest FILM “Uncharted” recorded a box office hit in North America.
Even without the Spider-Man costume, the Holland-starring film adapted from the video game series is expected to gross US $ 51 million next weekend.
Sony Pictures said the film, starring Holland and Mark Wahlberg, had grossed $ 44.2 million as of Sunday, putting the film at number 1 in the charts.
The US $ 120 million “Uncharted” is expected to collect more than US $ 100 million from its global screenings as well as screenings in China starting March 14.
In addition to “Uncharted”, its rival film “Dog” by Channing Tatum will also begin screening in 3,677 theaters this weekend.
The movie “Dog” which revolves around the story of a military ranger tasked with driving a military dog from Oregon to Arizona also received good reviews from film critics and audiences.
In addition to the film which only cost around US $ 15 million, the producer estimated a collection of US $ 15.1 million for last Sunday and US $ 18.1 million on Monday.
While the film “Death on the Nile” directed by Kenneth Branagh is in fourth place in the chart with a total collection of US $ 6.3 million.
