Three years later, Fad still feels Abam’s passing
AFTER three years of the passing of the late Abam Bocey, comedian Fad admits that he is still affected by the absence of his comrade-in-arms.
According to Fad, the difficult life journey for eight years with the deceased is not something easy to forget.
“People will say ‘oh you’re crying’ but I share what I went through with the deceased. I shared eight to nine years of our journey with no one.
“What is shared on TikTok is what I feel. When I was in MLM, people said that I was trying to be sympathetic, crying on stage. But people don’t understand.
“Over the course of eight years, every three months the days were in front of him, when I went on stage alone, he was not there to make me feel. People only see us for three minutes on stage.
“People don’t see what we look like outside of eight years. Even when we get to the point of difficulty in the family, we share. I know the problems of Abam, Achey, and so do they,” he said.
Fad was discovered during the press conference of the UBI SUPERSTAR LIVE comedy show held at Mighty Monster MyTOWN, Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Fad said that even now he still can’t believe that his best friend is gone forever.
“Three years, although for others it’s a long time but for me, it still feels new. I still can’t believe it, and I think he’s still there,” he said again.
For the record, Abam or his full name, Syed Umar Mokhtar Syed Mohd Ridzuan, 32, died at his residence in Gombak, believed to be due to high fever on 9 February 2020.
