Thor: Love And Thunder will not be shown in Malaysia – GSC
KUALA LUMPUR: Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC) announced that the much awaited film, Thor: Love and Thunder will officially not be shown in Malaysia.
It was after Disney decided not to release the third sequel of the Thor movie.
“Be informed that Disney has updated that the Marvel Studios film Thor: Love and Thunder will not be shown in Malaysia.
“We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience,” GSC said in a statement.
This announcement is sure to disappoint die-hard Marvel fans who were previously puzzled about the release status of the superhero movie after several postponements.
The film Thor: Love and Thunder was supposed to be shown in cinemas across Malaysia on July 7, but has been postponed to a new date of July 21, 2022.
Not long after on July 13, GSC once again announced the postponement of the screening date to a date that has not yet been determined or To Be Announced (TBA).
Earlier, the film Lightyear was also canceled from cinemas across Malaysia because Disney refused to comply with several conditions, including cutting some scenes supporting LGBT people, according to the Film Censor Board (LPF).
