The Super Full Moon phenomenon can be seen around 7.09 last night – MYSA

KUALA LUMPUR: The Super Full Moon phenomenon can be seen as soon as the moon rises at around 7.09 last night, said the Malaysian Space Agency (MYSA).

According to a brief statement on Facebook on Thursday, MYSA said the Langkawi National Observatory (ONL) had successfully recorded an image of the Super Full Moon on July 13, 2022, 11:35 pm.

Unfortunately, the peak of Super Full Moon at around 2.37 am could not be recorded because the weather did not allow.

For that, MYSA would like to thank the netizens who shared the image of Super Full Moon on MYSA’s social media.

On Tuesday, MYSA reported that Malaysians had the opportunity to witness the Super Full Moon phenomenon or the position of the moon closest to the earth at 5.09pm on Wednesday.

Through its official portal, MYSA informed that the phenomenon occurred due to the position of the moon being closest to the earth or referred to as perigee with a distance of 357,263 kilometers (km).

Earlier, the Super Full Moon phenomenon occurred on June 14 and the image was successfully recorded by the ONL telescope system.
