
The singer of the song ‘Apo Kono Eh Jang’ died
KUALA LUMPUR: The famous singer with the song ‘Apo Kono Eh Jang’, Mastura Ismail, 65, died at his residence in Taman Cheras Idaman, Cheras, tonight.
The news was shared by the Secretary General of the Association of Malaysian Artists (Seniman), Hafiz Nafiah in a media statement, here, tonight.
“Dukacita was informed that another entertainment art gem of the country, Mastura Ismail, who is famous for his song ‘Apo Kono Eh Jang’, returned to rahmatullah at 8.50 last night at his residence in Cheras.
“He was born on April 16, 1957 in Tanjung Kerayong Mentakab Pahang. He died at the age of 65, “he said.
Hafiz said, the deceased’s body is now placed at his residence.
“The deceased’s body is now at his house in Taman Cheras Idaman and will be bathed and shrouded at the Taman Rakan Cheras Mosque before being buried at the Sungai Long Cemetery before Zohor tomorrow,” he said.
In the meantime, he said, the entire top leadership and the ranks of the Malaysian Artists Exco expressed their condolences to the family members of the late and hoped that they would persevere in facing this test.
