“I cannot speak on behalf of LPF and I also understand that FINAS has issued a statement today (yesterday), but it is not on the filtering aspect. Any procedure monitored by FINAS is based on the SOP (standard operating procedure) of the relationship between LPF and FINAS.
“My view is that we may have to re-examine some of the SOPs because clearly there has been a violation here and I understand that in terms of the LPF approval it was given in September last year, before I became a minister, before the current government,” he said when he was present. at the exclusive screening of the movie Duan Nago Bogho here, last night.
He was asked to comment on whether LPF or FINAS would reconsider showing the film in cinemas.

“The trailer doesn’t have cuts like in the real movie, but I can’t talk more than that and I’m begging my media friends to get in touch with the LPF.
“For me, I have asked FINAS that in the future, we need to look into this matter, review it and revamp the SOP. We don’t want it to be like this, the approval was given without more specific research, I think there needs to be research,” he said. .
Yesterday, the media reported (FINAS) was not responsible for approving the screening of the horror film Pulau, which caused controversy because it allegedly contained hot and pornographic scenes.
FINAS Chief Executive Officer Prof Md Nasir Ibrahim is reported to have said that publication content guidelines are under the jurisdiction of the LPF.
The media also reported that Pulau, which will be shown next March 9, received criticism from various parties who urged LPF to review the approval of the work published by WebTVAsia in collaboration with My Way Pictures and Filmforce Studio.
