The investigation paper on the case of death threats against the Radja music group has been completed

JOHOR BAHRU: The Johor Police have completed the investigation papers regarding the case of criminal threats received by the Indonesian rock band, Radja Band, during a concert at the Arena Indoor Stadium, Larkin last Saturday.

Johor Police Chief, Datuk Kamaruzaman Mamat said the investigation paper will be referred to the Deputy Public Prosecutor’s office for further action.

So far, he said, the police have recorded the statements of a total of 17 individuals consisting of 14 local citizens and the rest foreigners.

“The Johor Police assured that a transparent investigation will be carried out without compromise in accordance with existing laws,” he said in a statement on Tuesday.

Previously, the Johor Police stated that they had detained two men aged 37 and 48 respectively to assist in the investigation of the case.

All of them were detained at the Johor Bahru Selatan District Police Headquarters around 3.30pm on Sunday.

Previously, the media reported that the famous Indonesian band received death threats and hurled abusive words after finishing the concert.

He said the incident was caused by a misunderstanding between the organizers and Radja Band before they acted to make a report at the Larkin Police Station.

According to Kamaruzaman Mamat, the case was investigated in accordance with Section 14 of the Minor Offenses Act 1955 and Section 506 of the Penal Code.

Conviction is punishable by a maximum of seven years imprisonment or a fine or both.
