The investigation is closed, there is no criminal element to the death of Anne Heche
THE INVESTIGATION into the accident involving actress Anne Heche on August 5 ended after it was confirmed that the actress died from injuries sustained in the accident.
The crash was previously investigated as a possible crime.
“There is no further investigation into this case. Any information obtained will remain collected and recorded,” the Los Angeles Police Department said in a statement.
Anne Heche was officially declared dead a week after being involved in an accident when the car she was driving crashed into a residential building.
The residence was owned by an individual, Jennifer Durand, but was rented to Lynne Mishele.
Mishele was lucky to be in another part of the house when the accident happened and was not injured.
However, the crash made the house uninhabitable because it affected the structure of the building.
Heche, 53, was previously in a coma following an accident on August 5 that caused serious brain injuries.
