The house of the late Sudirman grew up is now abandoned
TEMERLOH: The house of Asia’s number one entertainer, the late Datuk Sudirman Arshad in Kampung Tok Embun near Mentakab is allegedly abandoned.
The latest condition of the famous performer’s house after being involved in a fire in 2008 is contagious, thus surprising netizens.
A media survey of the location of the residence of the late Sudirman, who grew up in the house on Monday, found that the house only had a few stone structures, including stairs.
A man who lived near the house, Mohamad Aliff Fikram Bahari, 31, when met said, the condition of the house of the late Sudirman is now full of bushes and bushes so not many people know the location of the house.
“There may be people who do not dare to enter the residential area because of the condition of the bush.
“Before the fire broke out in 2008, the house could still be seen,” he said.
According to Mohamad Aliff Fikram, he was only a year old when the famous singer died on 22 February 1992.
“Some university students have come here (Sudirman’s house) to do scientific research. I think, maybe about two years ago,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Tok Embun Village Development and Security Committee (JPKK), Rahman Omar said, the plan to repair the house had been raised with several parties but could not be continued.
“I myself am upset because the repair effort to create a special monument for the late Datuk Sudirman Arshad has stopped for a while,” he said.
According to Rahman, the effort was raised more than 15 years ago because the house could be an attraction for fans of the late Sudirman throughout the country.
“Allahyarham is a famous icon and the pride of the country and Pahang in particular. So, there should be a monument like Rumah P Ramlee.
“However, the effort to repair the house needs to get permission from the family of the late Sudirman,” he said.
The late Sudirman made a name for himself in the country throughout his career as a singer.
