The ‘hot’ scene of the drama ‘Perempuan Itu’: Pas fully supports JAKIM’s action
SHAH ALAM: Pas fully supports the strong opposition of the Malaysian Islamic Development Department (JAKIM) to the broadcasting of a video of the drama Perempuan Itu ‘ mixed with pornography which has spread on social media recently.
Clearly, it should not be published in whatever reason given.
“Pas requests that the authorities take firm action on this matter.
“Pas advises artists to produce quality work in accordance with the principles of Islam and the morality of the Malaysian society,” he said in a post on Wednesday.
On March 21, JAKIM took serious note of the issue of the video of the drama Perempuan Itu which spread on social media.
Its director-general, Datuk Hakimah Mohd Yusoff said, JAKIM has stated its stance and views to the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia (K-KOMM), Ministry of Home Affairs (KDN) and the Communications and Multimedia Commission (SKMM) so that firm action can be taken immediately.
Its deputy president, Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man, said the program, which featured pornographic scenes, was in conflict with Islam, the dignity of Muslims and the culture of the Malay community.
