The father hopes Hafidz Roshdi’s crisis will be resolved amicably
HULU SELANGOR: The actor’s father, Hafidz Roshdi, hopes that his son’s family crisis can be resolved in a good way.
However, Roshdi Ahmad said, for the charge of punching his wife to the point of causing injury to his son, he handed the matter over to the court.
“Now this case is being judged and we pray for the best.
“God willing, we (the family) will also solve this problem (Hafidz’s domestic crisis) in the best possible way,” he said when met at the grounds of the Kuala Kubu Bharu Magistrate’s Court here on Monday.
Roshdi previously accompanied Hafidz who was brought to court on charges of punching and injuring his wife, Nurul Shuhada Mat Shukri, 29, in an incident at the Sungai Buaya Toll Plaza exit here on March 2.
However, the Pusaka movie star pleaded not guilty and asked to be tried when the charges were read before Judge Siti Fatimah Talib who acted as Magistrate.
The court then ordered Hafidz or his real name Muhammad Hafidz Roshdi to be bailed at RM4,000 in addition to having to undergo psychiatric treatment at Bahagia Hospital, Tanjung Rambutan, Perak.
Hafidz faced controversy when his family history became a hot topic due to allegations that he cheated.
The string was reported by Hafidz to divorce Shuhada with one divorce through a phone call witnessed by the family on February 22.
His domestic turmoil was more heated when he was accused of punching and injuring his wife.
The couple’s argument is seen to continue when the two previously also exchanged open letters on Instagram social media.
Among the contents of Hafidz’s open letter is to demand an apology from Shuhada and any party who spread defamation within 48 hours.
Hafidz claimed, Shuhada in an Instagram post dated March 5, 2023 mentioned that his younger brother conspired and that his family was toxic.
In the meantime, Roshdi requested that issues unrelated to the court’s charges should not be raised by any party.
“As for issues that shouldn’t be raised, we should avoid them because in my opinion it can have a bad effect. It affects the good name (of the family) and it needs to be stopped
“We are not what is being slandered. People know us and all this time we have been silent,” he said.
