The Farm Fresh Generation Tour is back to share the goodness of milk among students
KLANG: Local integrated dairy farming company, Farm Fresh Bhd continues the Farm Fresh Generation Tour series to spread the importance of health as a whole and share the benefits of fresh milk to the body.
Farm Fresh Director General of Operations, Azmi Zainal said, the corporate social responsibility (CSR) program with the collaboration of Kuntum magazine and Tetra Pak not only shows the company’s efforts as a school milk supplier, but also becomes an agent in educating students about the benefits of milk.
“We want to teach these children about the benefits (of milk) that they can get, not just to be milk suppliers, we also want to be friendly with them to encourage them to drink milk.
“This is because now the stunting problem that occurs among children as the Minister of Health, Khairy Jamaluddin said, may be one of the causes is due to a lack of calcium,” he said.
He said this at the launch of the Farm Fresh Generation Tour program at Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Sementa, here, today.
Also present, Tetra Pak Sustainability Director (ASEAN), Terrynz Tan; Assistant District Education Office (PPD) Student Affairs Student Development Sector PPD Klang, Ramlah Sulaiman; Assistant Director of Student Affairs Student Development Sector of the Selangor State Education Department (JPN), Roslina Abdul Aziz and Headmaster of SK Sementa, Hasbullah Ibrahim.
In the meantime, Azmi added, his side also released a new version of adiwira milk to attract their interest in drinking milk.
“So, Farm Fresh produces a good product, however sometimes these children don’t want to drink milk.
“Today we present a new milk version of superheroes from Warner Bros such as Superman, Flash, Wonder Women, Batman and Aquaman to encourage them to like milk to be healthier,” he said.
In addition, explained Azmi, the program will be expanded to selected schools throughout the country.
“We have already selected 20 schools to do this kind of program, including later in Kedah, we will hold World Milk Day at the national level.
“This time the Farm Fresh Generation Tour with Tetra Pak, we teach them to recycle and Kuntum magazine gives them an educational magazine and many more friendships we want to do at school.
“At Farm Fresh, our CSR focus is on education because this generation will determine the future generation of the country,” he said.
Meanwhile, Kuntum magazine also distributed a total of 500 magazines to the school.
For information, the Farm Fresh Generation Tour this time will involve the states of Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Melaka and Kedah.
