The account is ‘locked’, Instagram users cannot access the account
KUALA LUMPUR: The social media application, Instagram, was reported to have stopped for a while tonight when a large number of users reported that their accounts had been locked.
Citing the Independent report , the average user cannot access the account and receives a message that their account is suspended.
It is understood that it is a technical problem experienced by Instagram.
The issue left users confused as the app informed them they had broken the rules and the account could no longer be accessed.
Through Twitter, Instagram informed that it is aware of the issue but did not comment further on the issue of user account suspension, but it is understood that it is related to a bug.
Instagram also did not provide any information on whether this issue can be resolved immediately.
“We’re aware that some of you are having trouble accessing your Instagram account. We’re looking into it and apologize for the inconvenience,” an Instagram spokesperson said.
