The 2022 National Day Celebration parade and performance contingent is ready to give the best performance
CONTINGENT parades and performances in conjunction with the 2022 National Day Celebration are at a good level.
Secretary-General of the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia, Datuk Seri Mohammad Mentek said an assessment of several weaknesses involving all parties was held to improve the performance after the first semi-full rehearsal yesterday.
“Today I saw the second semi-full rehearsal better than yesterday, the spirit of the contingent is also earnest, but today there will also be another meeting to overcome the weakness in terms of time, it needs to be improved because it is four minutes late, there may not be enough contingent (ready) completely.
“In terms of the preparations in the square, it can be said that it is almost complete, but the installation of the LED screen display is not yet complete and it is hoped that it can be displayed before the full parade tomorrow,” he said when met by reporters after witnessing the parade at Dataran Merdeka here this morning.
Mohammad said again, his party expects a very encouraging response as it will be held after almost two years of the country being hit by the COVID-19 pandemic,
“Like today, many people came with their children and they were excited to see even if it was just a rehearsal.
“I expect the celebration to be more lively and certainly the audience will look forward to this celebration,” he said.
National Day 2022 with the theme ‘Malaysian Family Strong Together’ will be celebrated on a grand scale with a target of 50,000 visitors.
