Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Mohd Na’im Mokhtar (pic) says Jawi, as a religious authority of the Federal Territories, will not compromise with any activity that is against the teachings of Islam and existing laws.
KUALA LUMPUR : The Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) has instructed the Federal Territories Department of Islamic Religion (Jawi) to cooperate with the authorities to conduct an investigation into the organization of the opening event of a club involving a group of parties known as “Thai Hot Guy ” .
Its minister, Datuk Mohd Naim Mokhtar said, as a religious authority, Jawi will not compromise with any act that is against the teachings of Islam and the law that is currently in force.
He insisted that the event was against the teachings of Islam and the morals of the community.
“The Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) has received reports and feedback from the community regarding the opening of a club involving a group of parties known as “Thai Hot Guy “. According to the report, the event will take place at a premises located in Jalan Tun Razak, Kuala mud
“The organization of the event is against the teachings of Islam and the morals of the community. Not to mention in the atmosphere of Muslims welcoming the arrival of the month of Ramadan which is filled with glory, the organization of the event is very sad and irresponsible,” he said in a statement on Wednesday.
Previously, the Minister of Home Affairs, Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail described the actions of a bar that wanted to feature the Thai Hot Guy group , thus inviting public criticism, should not continue.
KDN will also conduct an investigation to identify every fact regarding the incident.
