Syed Zainal Abidin was announced as the recipient of the Anugerah Perdana Maulidur Rasul Award 1444 Hijrah

KUALA LUMPUR: The Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah today was pleased to present the Maulidur Rasul Award at the National Maulidur Rasul celebration in the year 1444 Hijrah Equivalent to 2022 AD which was held at WTCKL.

The celebration, which was full of excitement, also witnessed the departure of the King Queen Agong Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah in addition to the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob and the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs), Senator Datuk Idris Ahmad.

The award is given in recognition of deserving individuals who have made significant contributions to the development of the community and the country.

Award recipients are selected based on services in their respective fields of expertise that have been contributed to human development that has a positive impact on the well-being and prosperity of the people and the country.

It was decided by the Maulidur Rasul Award Selection Committee chaired by the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Idris Ahmad carefully.

At this celebration, the Chairman of the MAIWP Education Committee, Member of the Islamic Religious Council of the Federal Territory (MAIWP), Tan Sri Syed Zainal Abidin Syed Mohamed Tahir was appointed as the recipient of the First Maulidur Rasul Award 1444 Hijrah/2022 AD.

He who was met after the ceremony felt very moved by the award given and was able to use it as a fuel to continue serving religion, country and society.

“This is not an ordinary award. The Prime Minister’s Maulidur Rasul Award. So we want to imagine where we are and the attitude and morals of the Prophet SAW. I am indeed quite challenged.

“But I am grateful because with this award it may give me the motivation to do good and I say a thousand thanks especially to my father and mother as well as my family and friends who give me encouragement and support. Without their support it is impossible that I would have gotten this award,” he said when met by the media.

Also receiving the award was the Director of the Center for Civilization Dialogue, University of Malaya, Prof Datuk Dr Azizan Baharudin; Executive Producer (Islamic Content Filling), Media Prima, Ahmad Noor Sulaiman; Chairman of the Zikay Foundation, Datuk Mohd Khay Ibrahim and Singer, Syazrina Azman (Mizz Nina).

Also receiving awards were Maulidur Rasul, retired teacher, Chee Hoi Lan and Managing Director of Hushim Motivational & Counseling Consultancy, Hushim Salleh.
